Surfing in Southern California, and skinning my way up into the backcountry above Telluride, Colorado.are also a big part of my life. I’ve always been motivated by my immediate surroundings. That’s probably why I have a wide range of artistic expressions that each inspire and motivate me in their own way.

I’ve shown my paintings in Laguna Beach galleries and have crafted jewelry for a-list celebrities. Still, I’m a photographer first and foremost. I really feel that taking photographs is what I was called to do.

My inspiration can come from anywhere, but it always requires a real connection.

Human connection.

That’s why it’s hard for me to choose a favorite photographic genre. Weddings, lifestyle photography, couples, and families all motivate and excite me in their own way.

Although I begin with an idea or concept, my original thought is fluid and often changes. When I begin a project, I try not to limit myself to a set of rigid rules or one particular medium or style. The bursts of emotion that arise from the connection are the heart of the entire process.

I live in the small southwestern Colorado town of Ridgway. It’s full of ranchers, world-class athletes, and a lot of people with differing viewpoints that do a great job of finding things to agree about. It feels a little bit magical.

Photography has a lot of that same power.

Let’s make some magic together.

I’ve been a professional photographer for over 10 years and my work ranges from high-style weddings and product and lifestyle branding photography, to family lifestyle shoots rock climbing in Joshua Tree.

Hello, I’m Carrie,

“I think everything is life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party.

Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks and the way you feel. Life is Art.
